2009-10 Season
Jeremy Mixon became an offensive weapon for IPFW in the 2009-10 season. Mixon led the team in scoring in four games, including a season-high 19 points in IPFW's Summit League Quarterfinal win over South Dakota State. Mixon averaged 7.3 points and 1.5 rebounds a game. He played in 26 of IPFW's 31 games.
Along with the 19-point effort against SDSU, he also tossed in 18 at Oakland (2/27) and had 17 points against South Dakota State (2/20), UMKC (1/16) and at Wisconsin (11/15).
Hit a season-high three 3-pointers vs. SDSU (2/20). Was perfect at the charity stripe three times. Made a season-high six freebies at Wisconsin. Hauled down four rebounds in four games and blocked a season-high two shots at Oral Roberts (1/9).
2008-09 Season
Mixon played in 27 of IPFW's 30 contests in 2008-09. He averaged 3.8 points and 1.3 rebounds a game. During the season he shot 75.0% from the free throw line. Mixon scored a career-high 20 points in IPFW's win at Centenary on January 10. He tossed in 15 points at Nebraska on Dec. 20. In that game vs. the Cornhuskers, he hit a season-high two 3-pointers. Mixon pulled down a season-high five rebounds vs. IU-East at the Coliseum on Nov. 25. Dished out a season-high three assists during the Centenary win. Blocked two shots during the year, each coming during the home-and-home series with UMKC.
Before Coming to IPFW
Mixon averaged 18 points and five rebounds a game his senior season at Northwest High School in Indianapolis. He was named All-City Second Team.
Mixon also played at the Mile High Basketball Academy and was previously ranked by the Rick Bolus' High Potential Basketball Recruiting Service. Mixon also participated in the 2007 Indianapolis Star All-Star Game.
Personal
Jeremy is the son of Alvin and Beverly Mixon. He has a two sisters, Bianca and Antoinette and two brothers, Anthony and Antoine. Jeremy is an General Studies major at IPFW.
