Prior to Purdue Fort Wayne: Personal records of 50 feet-nine inches in shot put and 148 feet-four inches in the discus, both are Osborn high school program records... placed fifth in the shot put and seventh in the discus at the Georgia state championship meet... earned All-American honors... is the son of Yolande Palmer Earl Johnson
