Beth Howard enters the 2017 season as a graduate assistant coach after serving as the Director of Operations for men's volleyball in 2016.
Howard is a 2015 graduate of IUPUI, where she played volleyball, earning several accolades in her four years. She was a selection for the First Team All-Summit League team and the Academic All-Summit League Team in 2013 and 2014. She was named the Summit League Defensive Player of the Week a total of six times in 2013 and 2014. She was selected as the Summit League Defensive Player of the Year in 2013 and 2014, which was the first from IUPUI to win back to back years.
In Howard's play at IUPUI, the Jaguars were the Summit League champions in 2012, 2013 and 2014, as well as the Summit League Tournament champions in 2013. The Jaguars also took a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
