Mahogany Green spent three seasons on the Eastern Michigan bench as an assistant coach. Green had been the graduate assistant at Cleveland State from May 2002 to July 2003. Prior to that, she was a professional basketball player in Ankara, Turkey, from Dec. 2001 to May 2002. She also served as an athletic equipment manager at CSU from 1998-99 and worked as a women’s basketball camp administrator for one year and a camp counselor for three years.
A four-year letterwinner as a women’s basketball player at Cleveland State, Green was the team’s Most Valuable Player in both the 2000 and 2001 seasons. She was a two-time, firstteam Midwestern Collegiate Conference (MCC) selection and was named to four All-Tournament Teams during her playing career: the MCC Tournament in both 2000 and 2001, the Furama Classic at Loyola Marymount in 1999, and the Hampton Inn Indiana Classic in 1998.
She completed her bachelor’s degree at Cleveland State in 2002 with a degree in psychology and is pursuing a master’s degree in sports management/sports psychology at CSU.
