Niecee Nelson
- Title:
- Assistant Coach
This is Niecee Nelson's first season with the Mastodons. She comes to IPFW from the University of Wyoming, where she was a graduate assistant. Nelson worked closely with the staff and team on practice and game day coaching, individual workouts, academic support, film exchange, and guard and post development.
Nelson was a two-time NAIA All-American at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. She was also named to the Lutheran Brotherhood All-American Team, and was a scholar-athlete. Nelson was chosen as the Cascade Conference Freshman-of-the-year in her first year at Concordia.
Nelson graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education in 2002, and a Master of Science Degree in Kinesiology and Health in 2004. She resides in Fort Wayne with her husband Steve.
“The very first time I talked to Niecee I knew she was someone we had to look at,” coach Patterson said. “She has a phone personality that will attract other young people to our school. I have hired a number of people over my career and I have never had a group of references more enthusiastic about a candidate. We look forward to having Niecee on our staff!”
