Milwaukee, WI- The Wisconsin Badgers didn't have an answer for IPFW goal keeper Josh Howell in the first half of their match with IPFW today, at the Panther Invitational. But, the second half was a different story as UW exploded for seven goals in a 7-0 shutout of the Mastodons.
Howell came up big, time and time again in the opening half, turning back six Badger shots keeping the match scoreless.
But in the final period, Wisconsin got hat-tricks from Victor Diaz and Brian Bultman. Eric Conklin got the other tally for the Badgers (3-1-0).
Howell finished the match with 11 saves for IPFW (0-4-0).
The Mastodons will open the home portion of their schedule on Friday (9/8), hosting Eastern Illinois at 7pm.
