FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW women's golf team wrapped up the first 18 holes of the IPFW Fall Classic in second place, just five strokes off the lead.
IUPUI currently is leading with a 296. IPFW has a 301 after 18 holes.
Alison Rathsman leads IPFW, tied for second with a 71, one under par. Kellie Marshall of IUPUI is leading the tournament with a 67, a course record for Deer Track.
The Mastodons have broken two records after the first round. Alison Rathsman met the previous low 18 of 71, which she set in 2005. Overall the team beat their low 18 score of 320 with this round's 301.
The eleven team field will start round two on Tuesday at 9 AM.
