BGSU Triangular Results

Bowling Green, OH-The Mastodons traveled to Bowling Green State University to compete in their first meet of the new year.  IPFW placed sixth in the meet with 12 points; Miami (OH) took top honors with 218.50 points.

IPFW was led by junior Crystal Martinez, who placed a team-high third in the 5,000m run with a time of 17:59.00.  Fellow runner and sibling, Crystina Martinez, finished fifth in the 5,000m at 18:22.99.

"I thought the team competed well for our first meet after break," stated IPFW Head Coach Mike Fruchey. "Crystal ran really well in the 5k and the competition was really good with four MAC teams. Also, Brooke Newman did well in the pole vault, clearing 9' 6" and placing 6th."

IPFW will return to Bowling Green on Friday, January 18, 2008 to compete in the BGSU Invite.
