Cleveland, Ohio -- IPFW (2-8-1, 0-2-0) visited Cleveland State (4-6-2) Wednesday evening and got shut-out at the hands of the Vikings 2-0. The Mastodons were unable to put together much offense as they took only two shots on goal on the night.
IPFW sophomores Cory Keitz and Jorge Ramirez each had a shot on goal in the match. Keitz's was at the 15 minute mark in the first half, while Ramirez's shot on goal came after a Viking foul in the 63rd minute.
Cleveland State's goals were scored by Marco DiFranco in the first half and Nenad Stojkovic in the second half.
Mastodon keeper Michael Knitter tallied five saves in the contest while CSU's Nick Harpel got the shut-out.
The 'Dons look to rebound from a three match losing streak as they host Oral Roberts and Oakland in consecutive home Summit League contests on October 11th and 17th.
Next up for the Mastodons is a Saturday night showdown with conference foe Oral Roberts (4-5-0, 1-0-0) at the Hefner Soccer Complex on October 11. First kick is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
