Complete Summit League Championships Results 
Sterling, IL - Crystina Martinez won her second event of the 2009 Summit League Championships, setting a new conference record in the 5,000-meter run, as IPFW took sixth overall.
The 'Dons placed just ahead of Oakland University with 38.5 points. Oakland scored 38 for seventh, while UMKC rounded out the teams in the field with four points. North Dakota State took first with a dominating 220.5 points, with South Dakota State (126.5), Oral Roberts (112), Western Illinois (67.5), and Southern Utah (54) finished just ahead of the 'Dons.
Martinez, who took first in the 3,000-meter run, won the 5,000-meters in a time of 16:52.31, setting a new school- and conference record in the process. Her twin sister Crystal took third overall, earning All-League honors with a time of 17:13.57, also topping the previous conference record in the event.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Annina Gruber, Whitney Lane, Jill Edmonds, and Katy Moore placed eighth overall in a time of 4:39.98, earning the 'Dons a point in the process.
Felicia Mondry earned IPFW a point by placing eighth in the field of the mile, running the eight-lap event in a time of 5:12.34, with Sarah Hutchings (10th/5:14.49) and Rachel Schultz (18th/5:47.11) also competing in the event.
Whitney Lane and Laura Williams each placed 12th in their events, Lane in the triple jump, where she leapt to a distance of 10.11 meters, and Williams in the shot put, where she tossed the implement a distance of 11.32 meters.
The 'Dons had five entries in the 800, with Katy Moore's 2:23.96 leading the way with a 14th place finish. Beth Hoekstra (16th/2:24.16), Annina Gruber (22nd/2:30.26), Nicole Parry (26th/2:48.27), and Jill Edmonds (27th/3:00.34) also competed in the event for the 'Dons.
IPFW has one remaining indoor meet, as the squad travels to South Bend, Indiana, to compete in the Alex Wilson Invitational.
