FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW Mastodons travel to Iowa City, Iowa, to face off against the Iowa Hawkeyes in the team's second road contest of the 2011-12 season.

SCOUTING THE HAWKEYES
Iowa comes into Saturday's game on a two-game losing skid, falling to Creighton and Campbell in its last two
contests.
Matt Gatens leads the team by scoring 15.8 points per game, as Eric May puts in 11.2 points per contest.
Melsahn Basabe (8.2), Josh Oglesby (8.0), Aaron White (7.8), and Zach McCabe (7.8) each average over seven
and a half points per game, giving the Hawkeyes a deep and balanced offensive attack.
White pulls down a team-best 5.0 rebounds per game, as the Hawkeyes out-rebound its opponents 37.6-
to-35.0 rebounds per contest.
Bryce Cartwright has dished out a team-best 22 assists, as Iowa has five players with at least 10 assists
this year. Gatens leads the team with nine steals, as McCabe has seven with three players (May, Besabe, and
Devon Archie) each blocking a team-high two shots.
LAST TIME OUT
Behind a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double from Trey McCorkle and a 16-point performance from Mario
Hines off the bench, the IPFW Mastodons scored 50 total points in the paint en route to a 26-point, 85-59
victory over the Judson Eagles on Monday evening at the Memorial Coliseum.
McCorkle's double-double was his second of the season, while Hines' point total is a new IPFW career-high.
Frank Gaines added 16 points and a team-best three blocked shots, while Jason Smeathers chipped in 10, as
all 11 players that saw action in the game reached the scoring column.
Jonny Marlin dished out a game-high four assists, as seven players had at least two assists in the lopsided
win. Joe Edwards picked up four steals for IPFW, who had 11 total steals in the contest.
IPFW made 45.8 percent (33-of-72) of its shots from the field, but converted on just 2-of-18 from long
range (11.1 percent) and 17-of-30 (56.7 percent) from the charity stripe, while out-rebounding the Eagles
49-33.
