BROOKINGS, S.D. - The IPFW Mastodons will look to snap their five-game losing skid on New Years Eve, when the 'Dons take on the three-time Summit League Tournament Champion South Dakota State Jackrabbits at Frost Arena.

SCOUTING THE JACKRABBITS
South Dakota State comes into the game having defeated Oakland 62-52 in a rematch of last season's Summit League Tournament Championship game.
Jennie Sunnarborg and Ashley Eide scored 21 and 17, each, for the Jackrabbits, while Leah Dietel had nine rebounds and two blocked shots in the win.
Sunnarborg and Eide lead the team on the season in scoring, averaging 12.1 and 11.0 points, while Jill Young pours in 10.5. Sunnarborg is the team leader in rebounds at 5.8 boards per game, as the 'Jacks out-rebound their opponents by 6.2 rebounds per game.
Steph Paluch has dished out 31 assists, best on the squad, as Eide and Sunnarborg have 27 and 20, respectively. Katie Lingle has a team-best seven blocked shots, as Paluch has 21 steals.
LAST TIME OUT
An Abby Plucker three-pointer with 3:35 to play pushed the North Dakota State Bison ahead for the final time, as the hosts scored nine straight, and then made 14-of-20 free throws down the stretch to ice the game, giving the IPFW its first Summit League loss of the season, and spoiling a career-high scoring effort from sophomore Erin Murphy.
Murphy made 9-of-17 shots from the field and all three of her free throw attempts en route to her career-high 23-point scoring effort, while Amanda Hyde scored 16 and Anne Boese 12. Sarah Haluska chipped in nine points off the bench for IPFW while adding a game-high-tying three steals.
Hyde pulled down a team-leading six rebounds, while Rachel Mauk snagged five. Stephanie Rosado dished out a team-high three assists, while picking up the team's only blocked shot.
QUICK HITTERS
• The 36 points scored by IPFW against Purdue on December 22 are the fewest scored in a game by the 'Dons since the squad was held to 28 at Indiana State on December 28, 2002.
• Senior Anne Boese became the school's career record holder in three-point field goals made, as her total stands at 258, one more than former teammate Jordan Zuppe ended her career with.
• On Dec. 6 on the road against Valparaiso, senior Anne Boese became the school's career record holder in three-point fi eld goals made, passing former teammate Jordan Zuppe (250). Boese currently stands with 258.
• Boese trails the all-time conference leader (Brenna Doty of Buffalo) by four. She is in a neck-in-neck race with South Dakota State senior Jill Young for the career makes record, as Young has 251.
• In other milestone watches, both Stephanie Rosado and Anne Boese have eclipsed the 1,000-point plateau this month. Rosado accomplished the feat against UMKC on December 3, while Boese did it against Valparaiso three days later.
• The Mastodons have made a three-point basket in 388 consecutive games, the fifth longest active streak in the NCAA.
