Men's Basketball to host South Dakota State in "White Out"

PRE-GAME NOTES
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - IPFW will play its second consecutive game at the Gates Sports Center, when the Mastodons host the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State in a "White Out" game in the on-campus arena.
Fans are encouraged to wear white, and the first 700 fans into the game will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of Indiana Physical Therapy.

SCOUTING THE JACKRABBITS
South Dakota State comes into tonight's game after seeing their three-game Summit League win streak snapped with a 92-87 loss at Oakland University on Thursday evening.
In the loss, junior guard Nate Wolters flirted with a triple-double with 21 points, 12 assists, and eight rebounds, while Jordan Dykstra had 23 poitns and 10 boards, and Griffin Callahan added 17 points. All those numbers were overshadowed by a remarkable shooting night by Oakland guard Travis Bader who scored 37 points on 10-of-14 shooting from long range in the loss.
Wolters leads a trio of players averaging double-figure points, as the junior pours in an average of 21 per game, sixth best scoring average in the country. Callahan averages a dozen points per game while Dykstra puts in 10.7. Four others: Chad White (9.9 ppg), Tony Fiegen (7.7 ppg), Taevaunn Prince (7.4), and Brayden Carlson (7.4) average over seven points per game for a squad that averages 80.2 as a team, tied with Duke University as the 11th highest scoring offense in the nation.
Wolters also leads the team with 130 assists (6.2 per game, 15th in the country) and 32 steals, as the 'Jacks have 145 steals as a team on the season.
SERIES vs. SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
The all-time series between IPFW and South Dakota State stands even at seven wins apiece. Each squad has had a strong run in the series, IPFW winning six of the first seven, with the Jackrabbits winning six of the last seven meetings. The teams met earlier this season in Brookings, a 94-58 SDSU victory

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits out-scored IPFW 48-21 in the second half, running away with a 94-58 Summit League win on Wednesday evening at Frost Arena.
Frank Gaines scored a team-high 15 points for the Mastodons, while Trey McCorkle scored 12, and Justin Jordan 10. Antwaun Boyd narrowly missed double-figures with eight, as John Peckinpaugh chipped in a half-dozen.
McCorkle had a team-best six rebounds for IPFW, with Gaines adding five for IPFW, who was out-rebounded by a 45-31 margin in the contest.
LAST TIME OUT
Playing in the Gates Sports Center for the first time in over two years, IPFW used a late 14-0 run, capped by a thunderous dunk by Frank Gaines that brought crowd of 1,149 to its feet, and in the process, snaping a four-game losing skid with a 75-66 victory over North Dakota State.
Gaines scored a team-high 23 points, while Justin Jordan scored a dozen, and Michael Kibiloski 11. Two others, Mario Hines and Trey McCorkle, finished a basket shy of double-figures with nine and eight points, each.
The Mastodons out-rebounded the Bison 38-to-24 in the game, led by 10 from Gaines for his first double-double of the year. Hines pulled down six boards, while three others, John Peckinpaugh, Antwaun Boyd, and Kibiloski each corralled five caroms. Boyd dished out a game-high-tying five assists.
