Women's Basketball Plays South Dakota in Regular Season Finale

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Monday's game against South Dakota marks the final game of the 2011-12 regular season. IPFW won the first ever matchup between the two programs back on Dec. 1, 2011. The 'Dons won by the final score of 65-63.

SCOUTING THE COYOTES
South Dakota is third overall in the league standings with an overall record of 20-7. They hold a league mark of 11-6 and are currently on a two game winning streak. The Coyotes play tough at the Dakota Dome as they are 13-1 on their home court.
Amber Hegge is the offensive team leader for South Dakota. Hegge has been named the Summit League Player of the Week four times this season. She averages 18 points and eight rebounds per contest.
South Dakota is new to the Summit League and therefore will not be a part of the 2012 postseason tournament. The Coyotes most recently defeated Oakland by the final score of 49-38. Hegge scored 14 points in the win, which helped South Dakota clinch their second straight 20-win season. Hegge added six rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals against Oakland.
Jodie Boss pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds for South Dakota while adding five points and three blocks. Alexis Yackley poured in nine points, five rebounds, four assists and a game-high three steals.
LAST TIME OUT
IPFW lost to the UMKC Kangaroos on Saturday afternoon by the final score of 79-62. Stephanie Rosado led IPFW with a team-high 17 points. Rosado added eight rebounds and an assist to her stat line on Saturday. Sarah Haluska was the other Mastodon in double figure scoring as she ended the day with 11 points and five rebounds. Amanda Hyde, Anne Boese, and Rachel Mauk all added eight, while Erin Murphy chipped in with seven.
IPFW faced a 40-29 deficit at the half. Rosado hurt the Kangaroos inside and out. Rosado scored the first field goal of the game for IPFW. After an Anne Boese three-pointer it was Rosado once again scoring for the 'Dons. Rosado stepped behind the arc for her next two field goals as she ended the first half 2-for-2 from long range.Sarah Haluska scored the final bucket of the first half at the buzzer and she stayed hot scoring IPFW's first six points of the second half.
QUICK HITTERS
• IPFW senior Anne Boese is currently the Summit League career record holder for three-point field goals made with 298. Boese will have to hold off South Dakota State senior Jill Young during the final stretch of the season as Young has 288. Both of these sharpshooters took down the old record of 262 which was held by Buffalo's Brenna Doty. Doty played from 1994-97.
• Rosado is the IPFW all-time career leader in blocked shots with 109. She places seventh all-time in career rebounds with 548, and 10th in points with 1,225.
• Sarah Haluska averaged 14 points and 8.5 rebounds per game last week in home games against Oral Roberts and Southern Utah.
• The Mastodons have made a three-point basket in 403 consecutive games, which is now the fourth longest active streak in the NCAA. IPFW moved to fourth on Feb. 9 as the Loyola Ramblers went 0-for-8 from the three-point line snapping their streak at 446.
• IPFW has used nine different starting lineups this season, with only Anne Boese starting all 28 games for the Mastodons.
