Mastodons Sit 13th after First Day at Wolf Run

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. - The IPFW men's golf team sits in 13th place after the first two of three rounds of the Wolf Run Invitational, hosted by Indiana University.
Ohio State has the two-round lead in the tournament with a two-under 566, while Illinois is second with a 567, and host Indiana third with a 568. Texas Tech (574), Michigan State (581), Kentucky (586), Akron (586), Wisconsin (590), Eastern Michigan (591), Miami (Ohio) (596), IUPUI (608), and Northern Illinois (609) sit above IPFW's two-round score of 615 in the deep and loaded field.
Jacob Groninger and Drew Imel lead the Mastodons through the first two rounds, Groninger with scores of 77 and 75 and Imel with scores of 79 and 73, each for a total of 152, 10 over par, and in a tie of 53rd place overall. E.J. Tackett carded rounds of 76 and 81 to put him tied for 66th, while Drake Devereux shot rounds of 88 and 73 (161 / t-74th) and Bruno Carvalho a pair of 81's (162 / t-76th).
The teams round out the competition with the third of three rounds at the difficult Wolf Run Golf Course.
