Men's Basketball Set for Three Games in Three Days

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW Mastodon men's basketball team prepares itself for a stretch of three games in a three-day span, as part of the Holiday Inn Downtown Marina Island Basketball Tournament, hosted by Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

In that win, John Jordan scored a team-high 21 points, hitting 13-of-17 free throws in the game, while Zane Knowles (12), Cole Martinez (11), and Jake Kocher (10) each reached double-figures. Knowles pulled down 18 rebounds, while Jordan gave out six assists.
Four days later at Iowa State, the Islanders fell victim to a hot shooting night by the Cyclones, falling 80-50. In the game, Jeff Beverly scored a team-best 14 points, while Jordan chipped in 11. Beverly also led the team with eight rebounds, as Jordan dished out a team-best four assists.
This season, Jordan leads the team by averaging 16.0 points per game while Beverly averages 10.5. Two others - Knowles and Martinez - each average nine points on the year. Knowles pulls down 11.5 boards per game, as Jordan averages five assists per contest.

IPFW vs. SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE
Of the 14 schools currently in the Southland Conference, the IPFW Mastodons have faced two, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi when both were NCAA Division I Independents, and Oral Roberts, who was formerly a member of the Summit League.
