Dincoff Named All-League as 'Dons Place Eighth at League Championships

VERMILLION, S.D. - Led by a third-place All-Conference performance by freshman Rachel Dincoff in the shot put, the IPFW Mastodons placed eighth at the 2013 Summit League Championships hosted by South Dakota.
IPFW earned a total of nine points over the two days of the championships. North Dakota State brought home the team championship with 186 points, while Omaha finished second with 118, and host South Dakota third with 114.
Dincoff's toss of 46-7.25 (14.20 meters) came on her final throw of the competition, and was less than four inches from second place, earning the team six points for her efforts, and an All-Conference selection. Kayla Zink placed 15th in the event with a toss of 41-0.25 (12.50 meters), with Alyssa Kopp (38-2 / 11.63 meters), Lizzy Frazze (37-0.5 / 11.29 meters), and Kaeleigh Porter (36-4 / 11.07 meters) rounding out the five Mastodons in the event.
The team of Kaylin Taylor, Emily Craig, Kayla Boyes, and Julie Jeszenszky took eighth in the 4x400-meter relay in a time of 4:13.19.
Andrea Bell took 12th in the 5,000-meter run, completing the 25-lap race in a time of 17:55.85, while in the mile run, Kayla Boyes placed 13th in the field with a time of 5:26.87.
Katy Moore took 1th in the high jump, clearing a height of 5-2.25 (1.58 meters).
The meet ends the indoor season for the 'Dons.
