THE COURSE
For three quarters of a century, the Jones name has been synonymous with imaginative, well-crafted, environmentally sensitive golf course design. Expanding upon his father's considerable legacy, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. established Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course Architects – an innovative modern golf course design firm with global reach and a reputation for creating value.
Along with his award-winning team, Jones strives to incorporate the unique character and distinct topographical features of each site into the design, diminishing their impact on the environment. As early as the 1970s, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. was introducing new ideas for integrating golf with coastal wetlands and other sensitive environments, enhancing wildlife habitats while creating playable golf courses rich with strategic value.
Jones' pioneering spirit has led the company across numerous frontiers, breaking down political, climatic, geographical and environmental barriers to golf course development. In addition to Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club, the firm's award-winning portfolio includes more than 240 courses in 40 countries and on six continents.
