FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW Mastodons host their second of two exhibitions in preparation for the 2013 season, as the squad welcomes the Western Michigan Broncos to town for a 7 p.m. kickoff at the Hefner Soccer Complex.

ABOUT IPFW
IPFW comes into their second and final exhibition match of the season after topping the Detroit Titans 1-0 on August 12.
In the game, 26 Mastodon players saw action, with the game's lone goal coming from freshman Hailey Mariotti off of a Maya Reyes assist in the 36th minute of the game. Sophomore Sam Pavlika and Kiley Dunning split time evenly in the goal, neither allowing a shot past them, with Dunning picking up a pair of saves.
ABOUT WESTERN MICHIGAN
The Broncos head into the Saturday evening exhibition match after falling 5-0 to the Michigan Wolverines on August 13. In the game, the teams played through a scoreless first half, before the host Wolverines hit the back of the net five times in a 17-minute stretch, giving the match its 5-0 final score.
Michelle Watson did now allow a goal, as she spent the first 32-plus minutes between the pipes, before being relieved by Mackenzie Larson who gave up three goals and one save in just under 30 minutes of action. Kaitlyn Collin, who played just shy of 29 minutes, gave up two goals, while adding a save.
ALL-TIME SERIES
IPFW and Western Michigan have met once in the regular season, a 3-0 Bronco win in September of 2004. In that game, the Broncos scored first 66 minutes into the game, before scoring a second time just under 10 minute later, while the third goal game 10 minutes after the second.
IPFW PICKED SECOND
IPFW, the 2012 Summit League Tournament runner-up, has been picked second by the Summit League coaches, announced by the league office on Thursday morning. The Mastodons earned 39 total poll points, including one first-place vote. Denver, the Summit League newcomer for 2013, has been picked first with 49 points and seven first-place votes. Western Illinois was picked third with 34 points, while North Dakota State (32), South Dakota State (30), Omaha (20), IUPUI (10), and South Dakota (10) were picked to finish third through eighth, respectively.
