SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
The Mastodons come into the game after falling 2-1 in double overtime on Friday afternoon. In the game, freshman Hailey Mariotti scored her first collegiate goal in the first half of the contest, putting IPFW ahead 1-0; however, the Raiders answered back with two goals, including one in the second overtime, to seal the 2-1 win.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Northern Iowa closes their trip to the Hoosier State on Sunday, after falling 2-1 to the Ball State Cardinals on Friday afternoon. In the game, UNI's Maggie Riley scored just before halftime; however, Michelle Blok scored goals five minutes apart for BSU, as the Panthers were able to take just three shots in the second stanza.
ALL-TIME SERIES
The two teams have met twice all-time, in back-to-back seasons, with the latter of those two meetings coming ten years ago. The first meeting came in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and was a 3-2 Mastodon win in overtime as IPFW got a hat trick from recent Hall of Fame inductee Kristin Macdonald. A year later in Fort Wayne, the Panthers scored just over two minutes into the game, and never looked back in a 2-0 UNI victory.
