
Men's Golf to Take on Field at Cleveland State

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - After a Sunday practice round, the IPFW Mastodons will look to take back the team title that the squad won in the 2011 fall season, as the squad takes part in the Cleveland State Men's Golf Invitational.

ABOUT THE COURSE
Barrington Golf Club, featuring a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course opened its doors in April of 1994. The golf course stands majestically on a vast piece of land rich with gently rolling hillsides and picturesque lakes that are guarded by dense, mature trees. On this natural canvas Nicklaus created a masterful single fairway championship 18-hole golf course that winds through the stunning Barrington Estates in Aurora, Ohio.

ABOUT THE MASTODONS
The Mastodons will be sending a varsity five group of Jake Groninger, Oliver Gibson, Logan Barker, Carter Dornseif and David Watterson, while Dan Wert will be playing as an individual in the tournament.
Leading the team this year in scoring average is Jacog Groninger, who averages 75.40 strokes per round, with Drake Devereux shooting an average of 78.00 in one tournament this year. Oliver Gibson averages 78.67 strokes per round, while this will be the first tournament of the season for Barker, Dornseif, and Watterson.
