
IPFW Stands 13th at Cleveland State Invitational

DAY ONE RESULTS
AURORA, Ohio - The IPFW Mastodons carded rounds of 307 and 325 at the Cleveland State Invitational at the Barrington C.C. on Monday afternoon.
IPFW's 307 in the first round was followed by a 325 for a 632, putting the squad 13th in the field. Cincinnati leads the way after the first round with a 556, while Detroit and Cleveland State shot a first-day score of 565 and 575, respectively. Loyola (578), Evansville (583), Oakland (584), Appalachian State (586), Dayton (590), Youngstown State (595), Wright State (600), Robert Morris (604) and Butler (620) all sit in front of the Mastodons.
Carter Dornseif was the first-day leader for the Mastodons, carding rounds of 75 and 81 - each the second-best score of the day for the 'Dons, tying for 58th place in the field. Jacob Groninger finished a shot behind with a two-round 157 (74-83), tying for 63rd in the strong field.
Oliver Gibson's 159 (76-83) and David Watterson's 160 (82-78) rounded out the scoring group for the Mastodons in each of the first two rounds, while Logan Barker's 85-91 has him in a tie for 79th place in the field with a 176.
Playing as an individual, Dan Wert carded rounds of 77 and 79 for a 156, tying for 58th in the field.
The Mastodons return to the course for the third and final round of the tournament on Tuesday morning.
