Women's Basketball Opens Summit League Play at North Dakota State

FARGO, N.D. - After an 11-day lay-off, the IPFW women's basketball team finally returns to the court as it opens Summit League play with a trip to North Dakota State to battle the Bison on January 9 at 8 p.m. (EST).

Scouting the Bison
The Bison have dropped their last seven games dating back to November 30 when they took two straight at the DoubleTree Los Angeles Westside Thanksgiving Classic. North Dakota State defeated UC Irvine and Montana during the tournament.
In their last time out, NDSU fell at home to Northern Colorado 74-70. Brooke LeMar led the Bison with 25 points in the loss. Holly Johnson added 12 points and six rebounds while Kahla Becken came off the bench to contribute 11 points.
North Dakota State is just 1-3 at home this season, with its lone win coming in the season opener versus Mayville State out of the NAIA 112-62.
All-Time Series
North Dakota State leads the all-time series 12-5 and holds the Summit League series 8-4, despite the Mastodons sweeping the season series last year. In the last three seasons, each series was a sweep, including the Mastodons winning a pair last year. NDSU took the season series in 2011-12 while IPFW took both games of the 2009-10 season. IPFW is just 2-7 all-time in Fargo, but have won two of the last three on the road against the Bison.
