Men's Golf Finishes 12th At The Kenny Perry Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The IPFW men's golf team concluded the Kenny Perry Invitational in 12th place with a two-day score of 947.

Hosted by Western Kentucky at The Club at Olde Stone, the par-72 invitational was played at 7,100 yards. Lipscomb took home the team title with a 54-hole score of 879. Lipscomb's Dawson Armstrong also picked up the individual medalist honors with a final score of 4-under-par 212.

Drake Devereux paced the 'Dons, carding a final round 77 to finish in a tie for 38th place with a three-round score of 231. Finishing tied for 52nd was David Watterson with a final score of 238. Devin Jenkins finished the 54 holes in a tie for 59th, shooting a score of 242. Two strokes separated the final two Mastodon golfers Daniel Shepard and Oliver Gibson, who finishing with scores of 246 and 248, respectably. Shepard wound up in 64th position while Gibson was 66th overall.

IPFW wraps up its fall season at the two-day Dayton Flyer Invitational that begins on October 20.
