Mastodons Win Second Straight At Home

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Haley Seibert scored 21 second-half to lead the IPFW women's basketball team to victory over Evansville 77-59. The Mastodons improve their record to 2-1 on the season.
Seibert finished the game with 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-6 from long range. Brett Green and Rachel Rinehart both scored in double figures with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Keanna Gary added nine points and six rebounds while Courtney Ogle finished with eight points and a team-high seven rebounds.
The Mastodons never trailed in the game after scoring the first six points of the game, and jumping out to an early 10-point lead. Evansville cut the deficit to two at 14-12, but the 'Dons answered back with a 14-3 run as they led 28-15 with 7:32 to go in the half. Neither team was able to score in the final 1:26 as IPFW led 36-30 at halftime.
In the second half, the Purple Aces pulled to within three at 48-45 with 10:44 to play. The Mastodons countered with a 12-0 run over a 3:20 span to push its lead to 60-45, as they led by double-digits the rest of the way.
The 'Dons finished the night shooting 31-of-61 from the floor, 11-of-28 beyond the arc, and 4-of-8 at the free throw line.
IPFW heads to South Carolina for a two-game road trip, first up is USC Upstate on November 23 at 3 p.m.
