Denver is fresh off an 87-74 victory over North Dakota State, snapping a three-game loosing streak. Kailey Edwards led the Pioneers with 24 points, shooting 9-of-10 from the field (90.0 percent) and matching her career-high with six assists. Theresa Wirth and Morgan Van Riper-Rose added 21 and 11 points, respectively. Grabbing seven rebounds, Wirth recorded personal records in field goals made (9) and field goals attempted (12), shooting 75 percent from the field. Alison Janecek recorded her third double-double of the season, with 12 points and game-high 11 rebounds.
Five of Denver's seven wins this season have come in league play. Besides IPFW, the Pioneers have defeated No. 4 seed South Dakota and No. 5 seed Western Illinois along with Omaha.

The two teams have split the series this season, the only meetings between the two schools. IPFW won in Fort Wayne, 81-78, while the Pioneers took the game in Denver, 71-66.
