
Mastodons Head East for Sacred Heart and Harvard

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The 11th ranked (American Volleyball Coaches Association) IPFW men's volleyball team is set to travel to Sacred Heart on January 23 at 7 p.m., followed by an away match against Harvard the following day at 4 p.m.
• Andrew Sellan was named the MIVA Offensive Player of the Week after posting 32 kills, 10 digs, eight blocks, and a .644 attack percentage during the week of Jan. 12-18.
• Alex Harthaller set a new career-high with six serving aces against St. Francis (Pa.), tying him fourth all-time in IPFW for single-game aces.
• IPFW is 4-1 all-time against Sacred Heart, including wins in the past four meetings.
• Saturday marks the inaugural match between IPFW and Harvard. The Mastodons are 3-3 all-time in inaugural matches against current EIVA teams, including a 3-2 win over Princeton last year on February 7.
• The Mastodons will play 13 matches with teams which were ranked or received votes in the AVCA Preseason Top-15 Poll, including two matches against defending NCAA champion Loyola-Chicago.
• Mastodon head coach Arnie Ball is in his final season wearing Blue and White before entering retirement. Ball has the third-most wins (555) among active coaches and the fifth-most overall. Ball was inducted into the AVCA Hall of Fame in 2012.
