Logan Kitchen leads the Men in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The IPFW men's cross country team finished in fourth place in the UE Invitational.
Freshmen Logan Kitchen led the way for the Blue and White by finishing in 17th out of the 103 runners, with a career best time of 26:26.0. Bret Unger was next to cross the finish for the 'Dons in 20th place with a time of 26:39.0 while Gabe O'Keefe was the third IPFW runner to finish in the top 25 by finishing in 25th place with a time of 26:44.3.
Randy McComb and Connor Shaffer finished neck and neck when they crossed the finish in 43rd and 44th, respectively. McComb finished with a time of 27:31.6 and Shaffer had a personal best time of 27:31.9. Nathan Clary crossed the finish line in 59th place with a career best time of 28:46.9 while Ryan Curtis had a time of 28:53.3 with a 61st place finish.
Kurt Unger and Collin Cohen also competed in the event. Unger came in 91st place with a time of 31:53.3 and Cohen in his first race of the season, finished in 93rd and had a time of 32:25.3.
The team is back in action on October 31 when they travel to Brookings, South Dakota to compete in the Summit League Championships.
