OXFORD, Ohio -- IPFW will play on the road at Miami (Ohio) University of the Mid-American Conference in men's basketball on Tuesday night, November 24, at Millett Hall in Oxford, Ohio beginning at 7 p.m. The Mastodons (3-1) of second-year head coach Jon Coffman will be looking for their fourth-straight win of the young campaign against the host Redhawks (3-2). The backcourt trio of redshirt-senior Max Landis (14.0), junior Mo Evans (14.0) and redshirt-freshman John Konchar (13.0 points), along with frontcourt senior Joe Reed (11.0) have led IPFW in scoring through the first four games. Miami is coached by fourth-year head coach John Cooper, and are led by redshirt-senior Eric Washington (12.0 points).

Members of the Mid-American Conference, the Redhawks are coached by John Cooper, who is in his fourth season. The Mastodons earned their first road win of the season at Austin Peay (80-77), also of the OVC, following a home win past Division III Manchester (85-53) and a season-opening road loss at Valparaiso (78-64) of the Horizon League. The Summit League members are coached by second-year head coach Jon Coffman, who is in his fifth season at IPFW and 19th year overall. Through four games, IPFW also has four players averaging in double-figure scoring, including redshirt-senior Max Landis (14.0) and junior Mo Evans (14.0), redshirt-freshman John Konchar (13.0), along with senior Joe Reed (11.0). IPFW jumped out to an early 6-0 advantage behind back-to-back three-point field goals by Reed. The Mastodons extended their lead to 19-8 at 11:28 on a three-pointer from junior transfer DeAngelo Stewart, and the margin was 15 points at 30-15 with 8:06 on the clock after another three-pointer by Reed, who scored 12 points during the first 11:54. Another quick run of 10-2 provided for the largest lead of the game, 40-17, at 6:14, as Mo Evans scored five points, including a three-pointer. IPFW maintained a comfortable 45-29 lead at the intermission, getting 14 first-half points from Reed and eight points from redshirt-senior Max Landis.
