
Trevino Earns Summit League Player of the Week Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. - IPFW junior Carlota Trevino has been named the Summit League Player of the Week, the third different Mastodon to have earned the honor this season.
She went 2-0 on the week in singles, and 1-0 in doubles. She opened the week with a 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles over Aimee Manfredo of Bradley. Two days later she picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win over Missouri State's Mackenzie Rozell. In doubles she and Kristine Lindal won 6-1 at Bradley, and their match against Missouri State went unfinished as the doubles point had already been decided.
For the season, Trevino is 15-12 in singles action, including 8-7 during the spring, going 1-1 at No. 2 singles, and 7-6 at No. 3. Trevino and Lindal are 11-5 as doubles partners, including a 6-2 mark at No. 2 pairs, and 1-1 at No. 1.
The squad next competes on March 21 when the team hosts the Ball State Cardinals in a 2 p.m. start time.
