Gabe O'Keefe leads the Mastodons in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The IPFW men's cross country finished 11th at the 2015 Mountain Dew Gator Invitational hosted by the University of Florida.

Sophomore Gabe O'Keefe led way for the Mastodons finishing 28th out of 85 runners in the event. O'Keefe finished with a time of 26:40.61 over the 8,000 meters. Kurt Unger was the second member of the Blue and White to cross the finish line with time of 27:39.89 placing him 41st.

Bret Unger came in 46th with a time of 27:52.53, while Logan Kitchen finished at 28:25.67 putting him in 55th. Connor Shaffer rounded out the scoring for IPFW when he crossed the finish line with a time of 28:28.24 placing him in 57th. Randy McComb, Ryan Curtis, and Nathan Clary also competed for the Mastodons in the event, McComb finished 61st with a time of 28:50.82, Curtis came in with a time of 29:22.46 placing him in 67th, and Clary placed 71st with a time of 29:55.61.

The team returns to action on October 3 when the Mastodons travel to Louisville, Kentucky to compete in the Greater Louisville Classic.
