CHARLESTON, Ill. - The IPFW men's cross country team finished fourth at the 2015 Walt Crawford Open finishing behind Eastern Illinois, Southern Illinois- Edwardsville, and Southern Illinois- Carbondale.

The team was lead by freshman Logan Kitchen who finished in 18th place with a time of 21:58.46 over the 8,000 meters while Gabe O'Keefe was right behind Kitchen in 19th place and a time of 22:03.11.

Randy McComb and Bret Unger finished behind one another, McComb took 24th when he posted a time of 22:43.58, while Unger was on his heels when finished 25th with a time of 22:46.09.

Conner Shaffer was the fifth-finisher for the Blue and White with a time of 23:28.22, placing 27th. Kurt Unger, Nathan Clary, and Ryan Curtis also competed for IPFW in the event, Unger placed 28th in at 23:33.80, Clary finished with a time of 24:20.36, placing 29th, and Ryan Curtis placed 30th when he posted a time of 25:45.54.

The team returns to action on September 19 when the Mastodons travel to Gainsville, Florida to compete in the Mountain Dew Gator Invitational.
