1/23/2016 10:00:00 PM | Men's Basketball
FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Marcellus Barksdale scored on a layup at the final buzzer to give IUPUI an 84-82 men's college basketball Summit League victory at IPFW on Saturday night at the Hilliard Gates Sports Center in Fort Wayne. Barksdale collected a loose ball in the lane and scored the game-winning basket as the horn sounded, and the official review showed the ball was released with just three-tenths of a second remaining, and no time was left on the clock as it dropped through the net. Darell Combs led the visiting Jaguars (9-13, 5-2 Summit League), who were ahead 47-34 at halftime, with a game-high 20 points. Senior Michael Calder/Fort Lauderdale, Fla. led the Mastodons (16-6, 5-2 Summit League), who rallied from a 17-point second-half deficit, with a game and career-high 20 points. IPFW will play on the road at the Oral Roberts University on Thursday night, January 28, at 8 p.m. ET in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
