Eight Personal Records Set For Men’s Cross Country At Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Fort Wayne men's cross country finished 10th in the blue race at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday (Oct. 1). The Mastodons set eight personal records in the process. The event featured 41 total teams and 358 runners.
The 'Dons were led by freshman Sam Williamson. He recorded a time of 25:53.03 to finish 21st.
Brett Unger finished 60th (26:28.93). Logan Kitchen wasn't far behind, taking 71st (26:36.22) in the 8K race.
Gabe O'Keefe ran a time of 26:41.31, good for 79th. Alex Barton finished with a performance of 27:17.05 and in 127th. Connor Shaffer was 146th (27:26.64). Robert Peck (27:44.49) finished in 173th. Nathan Clary used a time of 27:53.95 to earn 184th. Austin Rockstroh finished in 195th (28:01.86).
As a team, the 'Dons compiled 341 points. Grand Valley State won the event with 56 points.
Fort Wayne is back in action on Oct. 15 at the University of Evansville Invitational.
