Mo Evans Scores 1,000th Career Point In 117-60 Win Over Kenyon

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Thanks to a career-high 28 points from senior Mo Evans, Fort Wayne men's basketball earned a 117-60 victory over Kenyon on Sunday (Nov. 13) afternoon at Gates Center.
Evans scored 21 points in the first half as the 'Dons opened a 59-21 lead at the break. His layup with 18:51 remaining in the second accounted for his 1,000th and 1,001st career points. He is the 13th player in program history to pass the 1,000-point plateau. Evans finished the game 11-of-13 from the floor, including 5-of-6 from beyond the arc.
Sunday's contest was all Fort Wayne, as the 'Dons opened a 20-3 lead and never looked back.
All told, 12 different Mastodons played in the game. Six finished in double-digits. Bryson Scott totaled 17 points with three steals in 18 minutes. Charles Ruise Jr. added 15 points. John Konchar had 11 points while Jordon King and Kason Harrell each had 10 points.
Fort Wayne made 26-of-28 from the free throw line.
The 'Dons shot 61.5 percent (40-of-65) from the floor while limiting the Lords to 29.7 percent (19-of-64) shooting.
Fort Wayne moves to 1-1 with the win. The 'Dons travel to Illinois State on Wednesday (Nov. 16) for a 7 p.m. ET start against the Redbirds.
