Fort Wayne Takes Road Contest At Stetson 93-74

DELAND, Fla. – Five Mastodons finished in double-digits as Fort Wayne topped Stetson 93-74 at the Edmunds Center on Sunday (Dec. 18) afternoon.
Stetson never held a lead after the 16:29 mark of the first half as the 'Dons opened a 50-32 advantage at halftime. It marked Fort Wayne's seventh 50-point half of the year. Fort Wane closed the final eight minutes of the half on a 20-10 stretch. Bryson Scott had eight points in the run to all but put the game away.
The second half saw the 'Dons build their lead to as many as 30 points.
Scott had a career-high 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting, making 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. He added six rebounds and four assists. Kason Harrell finished with 17 points, making a career-best 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. Mo Evans added 14 points. John Konchar pitched in 12 points with 10 rebounds for a double-double. Brent Calhoun totaled 10 points.
Fort Wayne out-rebounded the Hatters 52-29. The 'Dons earned 24 assists on 37 baskets. Evans led the Mastodons with eight assists.
Fort Wayne improves to 9-3. The Hatters fall to 6-7. Fort Wayne is in action again on Thursday (Dec. 22) at Detroit Mercy. Tip against the Horizon league foe is set for 7 p.m.
