
No. 16 IPFW Welcomes Omaha Saturday Night

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- IPFW, ranked No. 16 in the latest Mid-Major Top 25, will host Omaha in a Summit League men's basketball game Saturday night, February 20, at the Hilliard Gates Sports Center on campus in Fort Wayne beginning at 7 p.m. The Mastodons (21-7, 10-3 Summit League) of second-year head coach Jon Coffman are led in scoring by redshirt-senior Max Landis/Indianapolis (19.0), redshirt-freshman John Konchar/Chicago, Ill. (12.5) and senior Joe Reed/Greenwood (10.3). The Mavericks (17-11, 9-5 Summit League) are coached by Derrin Hansen, who is in his 11th season, and are led in scoring by seniors Devin Patterson (17.6) and Jake White (17.5), sophomore Tre'Shawn Thurman (14.3) and junior Tra-Deon Hollins (11.9). It's Homecoming and Senior Night for Landis, Reed and Michael Calder/Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and they'll be recognized during a special pregame ceremony before the final regular season home contest.

The game was tied at halftime, 44-44, with Landis (16) and Calder (13) leading the hosts. The Mastodons outscored SDSU 14-4 to start the second half for a 58-48 lead at 16:06, getting four quick three-pointers, including two from DeAngelo Stewart/Detroit, Mich. along with one each by Konchar and Reed.
