IPFW Takes Two in Puerto Rico over Spring Break

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – The IPFW men's volleyball came away with a pair of wins over Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras last week, winning the first match 3-1 (25-18, 29-27, 25-14, 25-16) on Tuesday, March 8. The Mastodons completed the week sweep with a five-set win over the Gallitos (25-18, 27-25, 25-27, 23-25, 15-8).
Andrew Sellan led the Mastodons with a combined 29 kills, while Alex Dickmann and Tony Price followed closely behind with a combined 21 kills. Dickmann hit .417 for the week (21-6-36) and Luis Bertran earned 22 digs on the week. Jaysen Zaleski dominated the net with 10 total blocks, all of which came in the opening match against the Gallitos.
IPFW return home for a three-match week beginning with No. 10 Ball State on Wednesday, March 16, followed by a pair of matches against Grand Canyon on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19. All matches will be played on Arnie Ball Court, beginning at 7 p.m.
