No. 1 IPFW Plays No. 5 North Dakota State In Summit League Tournament Semifinal

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – IPFW, the top seed for the 2016 Summit League Men's Basketball Championship for the first time in program history, will play No. 5 seed North Dakota State in the first semifinal of the league tournament Monday, March 7 at 7 p.m. Eastern Time at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota (Midco Sports Network/ESPN3). The Mastodons of second-year head coach Jon Coffman have an overall record of 24-8, advancing to the semifinals with an 86-70 win past No. 8 South Dakota in the quarterfinals. The Bison have a record of 19-12, and advanced to the semifinals with a 60-45 win past No. 4 IUPUI.

The Mastodons led just 39-33 at halftime before scoring the first eight points of the second half to take a 47-33 advantage with 17:46 remaining, getting a pair of three-pointers from Reed along with a basket by Konchar. IPFW extended the second-half run to 23-9 for its largest lead of the night at 62-42 with 13:29 left to play.
