CINCINNATI – Fort Wayne men's soccer dropped a non-league game at Cincinnati on Wednesday (Oct. 18) evening 4-0.
The Bearcats took a 3-0 lead to the break. Ryan Melink scored in the 28th minute after jumping on a loose ball. A penalty kick goal in the 32nd minute made it a 2-0 game. Austin Smythe (42nd minute) and Sean Clarke (56th minute) rounded out the scoring.
Cincinnati held a 13-7 advantage in shots. Edel Ensaldo Bustos, Romain Lopez and Oscar Uyamadu notched shots on goal for the Mastodons.
Fort Wayne falls to 3-8-4 while Cincinnati improves to 6-6-1. The 'Dons are back in action on Oct. 24 at Bowling Green.
