FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Fort Wayne Student-Athlete Leadership Team (SALT) President Damian Helm was selected to represent the Summit League at the 2017 NCAA Division I Leadership Forum held in Washington, D.C. from Nov. 16-19.
Approximately 300 student-athletes, coaches and administrators will participate in this forum. Helm, a senior on the Fort Wayne baseball team, was selected from all student-athletes that applied in the Summit League to travel to Washington to be part of the forum.
"It's an honor to be chosen as one of the 300 student-athletes to attend the forum," Helm said. "I hope to learn a lot from the speakers as well as interacting with the other student-athletes from all around the country and then making a positive impact here on campus."
Over the course of the three days, participants will be part of NCAA Divisional Governance Sessions, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Sessions, and activities to help build leadership skills.
