Fort Wayne comes into its midweek break from MIVA play with a 5-14 record, 2-6 MIVA. The 'Dons are coming off a 3-2 loss at Lindenwood after a 3-2 win at Quincy. This matchup with Lourdes will be the Mastodons last non-conference matchup of the season, after starting the year 3-8 against non-MIVA foes.

The Gray Wolves enter the week 11-4, while ranked No. 6 in the AVCA NAIA Top 10. Lourdes has had five matches against fellow ranked NAIA schools, in which the Gray Wolves are 3-2. The Gray Wolves have straight set wins over No. 8 Saint Ambrose and No. 5 Robert Morris (Ill.). They also have a four-set win over No. 8 Missouri Valley.
History at Lourdes
This is the first time that an NCAA Division I opponent has visted Lourdes for an athletic event. Lourdes has played Fort Wayne in men's volleyball three times in Fort Wayne and the women's basketball team has played at Detroit, but this will be the first time a DI team travels to Sylvania, Ohio to face Lourdes.
MIVA Win No. 250
With Fort Wayne's 3-2 victory over Quincy on Friday (Feb. 24), the 'Dons reached its 250th program win in MIVA competition. Fort Wayne earned its second MIVA win of the year, its fifth under coach Ryan "Rock" Perrotte.
MIVA Standout
Middle blocker Kyle Fitzgerald has led the Mastodons through MIVA play, recording 20 kills in 46 attempts for a .391 percentage.
Freshman Killin' It
Pelegrin Vargas is starting off his freshman campaign with Fort Wayne on a strong note. He is the Mastodons' kill leader, totaling 226, which averages to 3.23 per set. Vargas had a career-high 22 kills in Fort Wayne's 3-2 win at Quincy, while having 12 total matches with double-digit kills.
Five Set 'Dons
Fort Wayne has gone into five sets on five different occasions this season. The 'Dons took Saint Francis, McKendree, No. 11 Ball State, Quincy and Lindenwood to five sets. Fort Wayne is 2-3 in such matches. Additionally, the 'Dons have pushed three of these fifth sets to extra points (McKendree, Quincy and Lindenwood), in which they are 2-1.
Extra Point Sets
The 'Dons have gone into extra points in 13 sets throughout the season, including three sets at Quincy and the final set at Lindenwood in the same weekend (Feb. 24-25).
