TULSA, Okla. – Jacob Dickson went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in Fort Wayne baseball's 11-2 loss at Oral Roberts on Sunday (April 30) afternoon.
The Mastodons were the first on the scoreboard with two runs in the first inning. Dickson singled in Jackson Boyce and Jake Weber.
The Golden Eagles tied it with two runs in the third and took the lead for good thanks to a four-run fourth inning.
Mitchell Ley started for the 'Dons. He allowed one earned run in three innings for a no-decision. Brandon Phelps took the loss in relief. He is 0-2. Oral Roberts starter Miguel Ausua is 8-2 after receiving the win.
The 'Dons had their chances, but left 14 men on base. Boyce joined Dickson with two hits in the game. Boyce also walked twice.
Matt Whatley had four hits for the Golden Eagles.
Oral Roberts improves to 31-11 (19-2 Summit League). The 'Dons fall to 7-34 (2-19 Summit League). Fort Wayne returns to action on May 5 at Omaha in a league contest.
