MUNCIE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne women's volleyball team makes the quick trip down I-69 to compete in the Ball State Tournament, Sept. 1-2. The Mastodons will take on Bradley, Navy and the host Cardinals during the two-day event.

She Did What?
In the Mastodon's match against Toledo, Fort Wayne libero Julia Wayer finished with two kills in the match, including the match-winner. Kill's by libero's aren't that uncommon, but having two in a match, that's a little more rare. In fact, the last time a Mastodon libero had two kills in a match was by Tessa McGill at Central Michigan on Sept. 15, 2012.

The Fort Wayne women's volleyball team accomplished something that hadn't been done in nearly two decades on Aug. 25 in its season opener against Quinnipiac. Five different players recorded a double-double in the five-set win over the Bobcats. The five players were: Katie Crowe (19 kills, 13 digs), Nicole Rightnowar (17 kills, 15 digs), Liz Fuerst (13 kills, 12 digs), Sydney Boerst (12 kills, 11 blocks) and Tori Mills (53 assists, 12 digs).
The last time a quintet of Mastodons recorded a double-double in the same match came on Nov. 13, 1998 at home against Quincy with Deanna Brown (10 kills, 11 digs), Katie Bruening (13 kills, 16 digs), Laura Douglas (18 kills, 21 digs), Star Trahin (15 kills, 14 digs) and Tami Isch (53 assist, 13 digs).
On record, Fort Wayne has had five players earn a double-double on five separate occasions:
