HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Fort Wayne men's soccer dropped a non-league game at Northern Kentucky on Thursday (Aug. 31) evening 2-1. The game was moved up one day due to Friday's weather forecast.
The Mastodons went to half down 2-0. NKU scored on a penalty kick in the sixth minute. Rikard Lindqvist added a second Norse goal, assisted by Calvin Murphy, in the 37th minute.
Fort Wayne cut the lead in half with a penalty kick goal of their own in the 63rd minute by Keelan Barker.
Both clubs finished with 15 shots.
NKU improves to 2-1-0. The 'Dons fall to 1-1-1. Fort Wayne returns to action on Sunday (Sept. 3) in a non-league game against Green Bay. Kickoff at Hefner is set for 3:30 p.m.
