‘Dons Fall In Non-League Game To Central Arkansas

DAYTON, Ohio - The Fort Wayne men's soccer team held an 18-14 edge in shots on Sunday (Sept. 10) afternoon but fell to the Central Arkansas Bears 3-0 in a game played at Dayton University as part of Dayton's tournament.
The Bears took a 1-0 lead to the break with a goal 5:05 into the contest. Pepe San Roman scored on a header, assisted by Kyosuke Kubota. Niklas Brodacki scored for Central Arkansas in the 68th and 81st minutes to make the final 3-0.
Oscar Uyamadu had six shots for the 'Dons. Matthew Lieshout recorded four. Lieshout and Keelan Barker were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Central Arkansas improves to 1-5-0 with the win. Fort Wayne falls to 1-2-3. The 'Dons are in action again on Wednesday (Sept. 13) when Detroit Mercy comes to the Hefner Soccer Complex at 6 p.m.
