Men’s Cross Country Wins Bradley Pink Classic

PEORIA, Ill. – Purdue Fort Wayne men's cross country won the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday (Oct. 12) afternoon. The Mastodons put together a score of 30 to win the 12-team Men's White Race on a rainy day at the Newman Golf Course. The event was an 8K with four 'Dons earning new personal records.
Five Mastodons finished in the top 11. Logan Kitchen finished second overall with a season-best time of 25:46.8. In third was Sam Williamson thanks to a season best time (26:08.2). Sammy Moran took seventh, stopping the clock with a personal record time of 26:26.6. Alex Barton took 10th with his best time of the year (26:31.7). Right behind Barton was Robert Peck, taking 11th thanks to a new personal best of 26:36.2. Kurt Unger also had a PR, taking 14th (26:45.8) and Austin Rockstroh was 35th (27:38.3) with a PR. Caleb Whitlock stopped the clock in 29:38.8.
The 'Dons edged second place Missouri S&T (42 points).
Purdue Fort Wayne returns to the course on Oct. 27 at the Summit League Championships in Omaha, Nebraska.
