High-Scoring Coyotes Give South Dakota Win Over 'Dons

VERMILLION, S.D. - A high-powered attack from South Dakota led the Coyotes to a 5-0 win over Purdue Fort Wayne on their home field on Thursday (Oct. 18).
The Coyotes scored quickly to start the match, getting their first goal less than six minutes into the match. Joana Zanin scored the first two goals and assisted on the next two for a total of six points on the day. Her second goal was scored just 46 seconds after halftime. USD extended its lead with a goal from Taryn LaBree less than two minutes after Zanin's second. The Yotes put two more in the net in minutes 74 and 86.
Kendall Quinn, Kayla Wisniewski and Chloee Foor each had a shot on the afternoon.
Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 3-11-3 (0-6-0 Summit League) while South Dakota uses the win to improve to 8-6-2 (3-3-0 Summit League) and move into the fifth spot in the League table, just 0.5 games behind Oral Roberts for the final qualifying spot for the Summit League tournament.
