Rafuse Fourth In Mile At Indoor Championships

FARGO, N.D. - Emma Rafuse finished fourth in the mile on Saturday (Feb. 24) during the final day of the 2018 Summit League Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Rafuse came into the event seeded sixth. Her time of 4:55.67 was one second off her own school record in the event. Rebecca Sippel (5:18.41) and Hannah Aschliman (5:20.14) set personal records in the mile.
The 4x400 relay squad was seeded seventh coming in to the event but took fourth. Their time of 3:59.81 was less than a second off the school record. Rafuse, Olivia Coleman, Ally Bailey and Savannah Girolami combined for the event.
Sippel took 10th in the 3,000 meters (10:17.84). Coleman was 10th in the long jump (5.36 meters).
The Mastodons finished seventh with 12 points.
