NORMAL, Ill. - The Fort Wayne men's golf team makes a quick turnaround as the Mastodons head to Illinois State for the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate March 31-April 1.

COMPETING TEAMS
Fort Wayne will compete against 16 other teams. The Mastodons and host Redbirds will be joined by: Bradley, Butler, Creighton, DePaul, Detroit Mercy, Drake, Duke, Evansville, Northern Illinois, UNI, Oakland, Southern Illinois, Valparaiso, Western Illinois, Wisconsin.
THE COURSE
The Weibring Golf Club at Illinois State University was designed in 1962 by golf course architect Robert Bruce Harris. It was originally designed with a regulation length 9 hole course along the outside edges of the property with a shorter executive length 9 hole course in the middle. The course opened in May 1964 with University President Robert Bone hitting the first shot. In September 2007 the golf course was renamed to Weibring Golf Club at Illinois State in honor of DA and his many contributions to the ISU Men's and Women's Golf Teams, the golf course, and the university in general.
